Take a piece of cardstock and place it on the grip mat. In cricut design space, resize the image according to the blank and make sure it is set to “cut”. Above all, using the template we cut out of cardboard is really easy using a wood blank. Another way to use a wood blank is creating a wood burn project with singe quill!

Just place it and trace the shape on the piece of wood. After that, start hammering the nails right over the traced shape. Take a pair of tweezers to hold the nails and to prevent damage our fingers. Most importantly, it is not necessary to hammer them very deep, just make sure they stay in place.

Another option is to use removable vinyl remnants to create the template. Hammer the nail over the vinyl shape and at the end remove the vinyl carefully, if any nails come out don’t worry just find the spot and hammer it back into place. In adittion, to custom more the string art, add some lettering, a phrase or a figure on some adhesive vinyl.
