Mason jar tissue holder

Supplies needed

First of all, open Cricut design space and create a design to add with vinyl to the mason jar. Above all, measure the mason jar to create the decal. At BGArtdesigner there are many different designs that will work at the best prices, check them out!

Next, start cleaning the outside surface of the jar. Use a little rubbing alcohol and clean towels. This will help the chalk paint adhere better. Take the paint and shake it up a bit, and also take a paintbrush. First, place some butcher paper on the work table.

Start painting the top of the jar and then turn it over to paint the rest. The most important thing is to paint in the same direction so that the result is uniform. Most importantly, apply two coats of paint but wait a couple of hours until it is completely dry to do it.

After that, let the jars dry overnight to spray some  krylon clear glaze spray over everything. As a recommendation use a sealer on the mason jars. After applying the sealer, wait another day to apply the vinyl.

Cutting and adding the decal

Cut the decal on some vinyl the Oracal 651 matte vinyl will work perfectly. Of course there is a glossy Oracal 651, and it will also look good. Get some transfer tape and use a squeegee to rub it over the front and back. After that, peel the back of the vinyl off the transfer tape. Place the vinyl on the jar, swipe it with the squeegee and remove the transfer tape.

You can reuse the same piece of transfer tape for the other decals.

Now it’s time to assemble everything. Take the kleenex and remove the tip. Remove the paper from the circular ring. Take the kleenex out of the round cardboard, you can throw the cardboard away. Place the kleenex in the jar and put the circle we removed afterwards on top.

After that, put the mason jar lid on top. take out some kleenex for easy removal and that’s it! The kleenex fit nicely in the mason jars and are perfect for putting them in at work.
