Sublimation Car Freshener Tutorial

Things needed for Sublimation Car Freshener

• Sublimation printer
• Sublimation paper
• A sublimation car freshener or felt
• Essential oil

First of all, choose a design HERE and open it in some design software. It can be Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design Space, Illustrator, or others. Next, size the design making sure it will fit in the Car Freshener.

Print the design with sublimation ink on the sublimation paper, and cut It to the size of the car freshener. To press the car air fresheners; it’s necessary to do both sides, so print each design twice; The Car Freshener must be a sublimation Car Freshener or felt made of polyester, otherwise, it won’t work on this project.

Place the printed design on the car freshener, ensure it is correctly positioned, to avoid any blanks on the car fresheners; then put some heat resistant tape on it. There is a little hole on the car air fresheners; that hole indicates where the top is, so make sure you put the design well using that hole as a guide.

Then put it in the press with butcher paper underneath and another on top. Press this at 400 degrees for 45 seconds. When it’s done, remove the design immediately, and repeat the process with the other side.

With a little weeding, poke out the hole, because that’s where the strings are going to go through! Finally, add a little essential oil, try to add it in the four corners; and add a little oil at the top of the design, but don’t put too much!
