Want to know how to sublimate on toilet papers? take a look at this tutorial, as always explaining step by step all the process.
All sublimation indeed requires polyester and toilet paper rolls are not polyester, but it is possible to sublimate on them because the sublimation will only fade if you wash it, and no one is going to wash toilet paper rolls so it is a good opportunity to create a project.
Sublimating Toilet Paper for Christmas Gift.
First of all, find a design HERE, it should be 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches, don’t make it too big otherwise, it won’t look great.
Then unroll the toilet paper, open it and cut the rough side, then count three sheets and spray on the sheets to be sublimated some dyepress to get the most intense and vibrant colors.
Wet enough and drop the platen from the press, leaving a gap, don’t let it touch the paper, and wait until the roll paper is dry for about 10 or 15 seconds. Then press flat for about 10 seconds to make the paper straight.
Place the design in the center of the three sheets, or sublimate two or three sheets, making sure to leave an empty sheet at the end before sublimating to get it to look nice. Take a piece of butcher paper to protect the heat press from both the bottom and the top and press at 360.
It is not necessary to put heat-resistant tape because trying to remove it could cut the roll of toilet paper and it is better to keep the sublimation on the roll, not on a separate piece.
Press for about 60 seconds, then roll up the toilet paper roll after sublimation, put some stickers on the end to keep it from moving.
- For packaging use cellophane, and wrap the toilet paper roll.
And that was it for this toilet paper sublimation tutorial! A great project to give as a gift, let me know your comments below!
