Signs
It is possible to modify signs that already have a design to customize them. By turning them over, or painting the surface to create a blank space to work with. Measure the sign to add a decal to the sign by getting a spring design HERE or create a decal for yourself.
Use matte black vinyl, cut it out and then weed it. As a recommendation, it helps a lot to weed from right to left difficult fonts.
Glass candles
With glass candles, it is possible to make a different and cute sign. First of all, remove the stickers on the outside and use goo gone to remove any residue. cut a decal to fit the glass and finally add jute twine to the top to decorate it.
Personalized glass with etching cream
Create a stencil and cut it out in permanent vinyl to put it on the glass. A trick to get a decal or stencil to lay flat on curved surfaces is to cut out the decal, making small slits. Next to it, put some tape around the stencil to cover the outside of the glass.
Take some armor etch, take a brush, and put enough cream to cover the design on the stencil, then work in different directions to make sure the cream covers the whole design. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Finally, scrape the stencil off the glass carefully. Then remove the extra paste by washing the glass with water only.
The etching can be seen to go away but don’t worry it’s how etching works, once it dries it will show up again, and it’s dishwasher safe.
Spring bucket craft
The ideas are many but this one is perfect for spring, just grab a Cricut and get started. Get a bucket of jute twine in metal, cut a sticker, and add it to the bucket. Add some beautiful flowers and it will be perfect to decorate the home in these spring days.
Garland
Certainly it is possible to use wood pieces from dollar tree and paint or stain them to make pretty garlands by adding some decals to them. Get wooden ornament bunnies and some beads. Stain the wood with black walnut and add a white decal. Get some white thread and attach the beads and create a tassel for the end.
Decorative hot pads
For this project Use heat transfer viny; when you cut it out make sure you put the glossy side down and click “mirror on” in design space. Finally, weed out. Next, get a press it can be the easy press or the autopress and set it to 330 degrees for 30 seconds. Don’t forget to put butcher paper to protect the heat plate.
If the design doesn’t come out press a couple of seconds longer but not too long so you don’t burn it.
Bunny baskets
Personalize a bunny basket by adding names to the ears. Use htv vinyl and press. let it cool to peel off the backing sheet.
Customized canvas
Firstly, get a canvas and disassemble it, lift the staples with a flat-blade screwdriver, and use pliers to remove them. Stain the frame by adding black walnut stain to all the edges. Take the infusible ink sheet and place it on the mat with the shiny side down; cut out the design making sure it is mirrored.
Before transferring the infusible ink sheet, trim the edges of the canvas a little and place the frame on top of the canvas so that the design is centered. Place the design on top of the canvas and place heat-resistant tape on the edge so that it doesn’t move.
Set the Cricut easy press or the AutoPress to 395 degrees for 40 seconds and press. Finally, staple the tarp to the back of the sign and trim the excess.
