The best Cricut hacks

Using a Cricut it is possible to do a lot of projects, and what’s better than knowing some hacks to get the best out of it! In this post there will be some hacks that are worth trying, in order to be more efficient and even save time.

Removing the cutouts from the mat

This hack is super useful for removing the cutouts from the Cricut mat. Flip the mat over and start peeling off the cut design. This is wonderful because it avoids damaging the design cutout by accidentally bending it. Obviously damaging a design is not good, remember that it is possible to find a nice and customized design on bgartdesigner, take a look!

Scrape tool replacement

The scraping tool works well when adding a vinyl cuout to the surface to make sure it adheres well. Cricut has its own scraping tool; but it is possible to find an item in your home that works exactly the same; and that is a credit card!

Cricut mat: cleaning hack

It is important to keep the Cricut mat clean, otherwise it will damage the material or even not be as sticky as it needs to be. To clean the Cricut mat run it under warm water and air dry it at the end. Using unscented baby wipes instead also works.

Unsharpe blade solution

One of the solutions will probably be to change it, but let’s think that when there are no other options. One way it is possible to sharpen the blade is to use aluminum foil. Get some and make a ball out of it, finally start punching it with the blade several times. As a result the blade will sharpen again!

Saving failed cuts

If you are not sure if the cut has gone all the way through, it is possible to have the machine cut it again, exactly as it is. To do this, do not unload the mat and send it to be cut again.

Transfer tape replacement

If for some reason you don’t have trasnfer tape, some Glad press and seal will work doing exactly the same function.

Organizing the blades

Cricut has multiple blades that can be used for different materials. If you have all of them, it would be difficult to quickly distinguish between them, so to avoid this mark each one with nail polish. In addition create a blade code so you know which blade to use with which material.

Sincerely hope these Cricut hacks will help you to make your daily Cricut routine easier. Let me know your comments below
