A Cricut cutting machine is very useful for creating projects, but which one to buy? Check this out. All Cricut machine are excellent, but depending on the projects you do, one may be better than the other for its features. In this post are the three newest Cricut cutting machines, and the description of each one.
Cricut Joy
The Cricut joy is the smallest of all the cricut cutting machines, making it portable and functional. This is not recommended fo grand scale bussines
Features
The compatible material dimension is 20 inches length by 4.5 inches width. This machine works well only for cutting small designs.
It has bluetooth so it is possible to send to cut without using a cord. With this machine is compatible the Card mat that is used for custom cards, and it has the function of cutting without mat; as the Cricut brand creates smart vinyls that adapt to it without using a mat. This allows you to create larger projects.
However the print and cut function is not available on this machine.
Materials it can cut
With the Cricut joy it is possible to cut materials such as cardboard, synthetic leather, adhesive vinyl, infusible ink, bonded fabric and heat transfer vinyl. However materials such as wool felt, linden wood, unbonded fabric, garment leather and genuine leather are not compatible.
Blades and tools
With the Cricut joy it is possible to use pens for writing and drawing, and only the standard fine-point blade. Other blades are not compatible with it.
Cricut Explore 3
The Cricut Explore 3 is a less expensive machine that has many useful features for creative craftsmanship and other projects.
Features
The Cricut Explore 3 can cut materials 12 inches length and 13 inches wide which is too much more than the dimensions of the Cricut joy material. The Cricut Explore 3 has bluetooth, mat-free cutting, and print then cut features. But the card mat is special for the Cricut Joy.
Materials it can cut
The Cricut Explore 3 can cut cardstock, Cricut genuine leather, faux leather, adhesive vinyl, infusible ink, felt, bonded-fabric and heat transfer vinyl, as welll as the Cricut joy it cannot cut wool bend felt, basswood, and not-bonded fabric.
Blades and tools
The writing and drawing pencil, deep cutting blade and standard fine point blade are the only tools compatible with this machine. It has only one additional compatible tool compared to the Cricut Joy.
Cricut Maker 3
The Cricut Maker 3 is used at more advanced levels, because its compatible materials and tools are much more than those of both the Cricut Joy and Cricut Explore.
Features
It has bluetooth, mat-free cutting, and print then cut features, just like the Cricut Explore. The dimensions of the materials it can cut are also the same as the Cricut Explore: 12 inches long and 13 inches wide.
Materials it can cut
Between the last two, this machine can cut all materials after named: cardboard, faux leather, adhesive vinyl, infusible ink, bonded fabric, heat transfer vinyl, wool curve felt, basswood, non-bonded fabric, garment leather and genuine leather. This is one of the advantages of this machine, the large amount of compatible materials it has.
Blades and tools
